Two historic homes with eight guest rooms provide romance and charm from a bygone era. The main house offers gracious bedrooms with queen size beds and private baths, some fireplaces, and king size whirlpools. Includes an elegant full breakfast. Located within walking distance from downtown Wausau. The historic home turned Bed & Breakfast features beautiful stained glass windows, wide halls, a carved oak stairway that leads to the second floor, and a sweeping front porch overlooking Franklin Street. In addition to the Inn's main home, we have a second home across the street called the Devoe House. Built in 1868 by respected millwright William Devoe for his wife Adelaide, this house is the oldest in the on its original site in Marathon County. Each suite in the Devoe House is also furnished with wonderful antiques, a very comfortable bed, and warm quilts. In addition to a private bath, each room has a sink, small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker with coffee and tea provisions. Color TV, VCR and CD stereos are also provided. Air conditioned for comfort.
