In granting this approval it is understood and agreed that USA Swimming and Wisconsin Swimming, Inc. shall be free from any liabilities or claims for damages arising by reason of injuries to anyone during the conduct of the event. All applicable adults participating in or associated with this meet, acknowledge that they are subject to the provisions of the USA Swimming Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policy (“MAAPP”), and that they understand that compliance with the MAAPP policy is a condition of participation in the conduct of this competition. A registered athlete member at a sanctioned/approved meet who is 18 years of age or older, who had not completed the Athlete Protection Training (APT) by the date of the swim, will not be able to upload into SWIMS. These athletes will also be considered “not in good standing” and can be subject to fines under Wisconsin Swimming Policy 11.2.1. 

COVID -19 RISK ACKNOWLEDGEMENT: In applying for this sanction(ed event), the Host, WYNS agrees to comply and to enforce all health and safety mandates and guidelines of USA Swimming, Wisconsin Swimming, Inc., the State of Wisconsin and the MARATHON County Health Department We have taken enhanced health and safety measures – for you, the other participants, and meet staff. You must follow all instructions while visiting THE ASPIRUS BRANCH WOODSON YMCA. An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. 

COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable. By visiting THE ASPIRUS BRANCH WOODSON YMCA, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19. An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and individuals with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable. USA Swimming, Inc., cannot prevent you (or your child(ren)) from becoming exposed to, contracting, or spreading COVID-19 while participating in USA Swimming sanctioned events. It is not possible to prevent against the presence of the disease. Therefore, if you choose to participate in a USA Swimming sanctioned event, you may be exposing yourself to and/or increasing your risk of contracting or spreading COVID-19

BY ATTENDING OR PARTICIPATING IN THIS COMPETITION, YOU VOLUNTARILY ASSUME ALL RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH EXPOSURE TO COVID-19 AND FOREVER RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS USA SWIMMING AND WISCONSIN LSC AND EACH OF THEIR OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, AGENTS, EMPLOYEES OR OTHER REPRESENTATIVES FROM ANY LIABILITY OR CLAIMS INCLUDING FOR PERSONAL INJURIES, DEATH, DISEASE OR PROPERTY LOSSES, OR ANY OTHER LOSS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO CLAIMS OF NEGLIGENCE AND GIVE UP ANY CLAIMS YOU MAY HAVE TO SEEK DAMAGES, WHETHER KNOWN OR UNKNOWN, FORESEEN OR UNFORESEEN, IN CONNECTION WITH EXPOSURE, INFECTION, AND/OR SPREAD OF COVID-19 RELATED TO PARTICIPATION IN THIS COMPETITION.

Facility: 25 yard pool with 8 lanes. Starting pool depth is 9 feet. Turning end is 4 feet deep The competition course has not been certified in accordance with 104.2.2C(4). 

Timing System: SST Software and Dacktronics touch pads at the starting end. 

Warm Up: Friday PM 1 Master Session: Warm-up 4:00-4:45, Meet start 5:00pm Master Session will be run as a 6 lane pool. One lane will be used for continuous warm up and cool down. Events will be combined at meet referee’s discretion. Friday PM 2 Open Session: Warm-up 6:00pm, Meet start 7:00pm Saturday AM Session 3 (11/12, 13/14, OPEN) Warm-up 8:00 am, Meet start 9:00 Saturday PM Session 4 (8 & under, 9/10): Warm up will begin at the completion of Session 3 and will run for 55 minutes. Meet will begin 5 minutes after warm-ups are completed. Sunday AM Session 5 (11/12, 13/14, OPEN): Warm-up 8:00am, Meet starts 9:00am. Sunday Session 6 (8 & under, 9/10): Warm-up will begin at the completion of Session 5 and will run for 55 minutes. Meet will begin 5 minutes after warm-ups are completed

 WARM UPS WILL BE ASSIGNED ONCE ENTRIES ARE RECEIVED. FEET FIRST THREE POINT ENTRIES FROM THE STARTING END OF THE POOL DURING GENERAL WARM-UPS WILL BE ENFORCED FOR ALL SANCTIONED/APPROVED COMPETITION.

Rules: USA and Wisconsin Short Course rules shall prevail. All USA-Swimming Registered swimmers are welcome to participate. Swimmers who are not Registered in USA-Swimming are also welcome and encouraged to participate. 

Age is as of June 10, 2022 Entry Deadline: 

Entries must be received by 6/5/22 Team Entries: Submit entries on HY-TEC by email to wynsentries@gmail.com. Include hard copy back-up, waiver and fees. Individual Entries: If the swimmer is not currently registered with a recognized swim team, please email meet director at swimwyns@gmail.com 

Entry Limit: Each swimmer may swim a maximum of 4 individual events per day with a maximum of 8 total individual events per swimmer for the meet. Positive check-in required for swimmers in the 500 freestyle. Event will be mixed and swam fastest to slowest. Entry Fees: $5.00 per individual event $20.00 per relay $4.00 splash fee must be paid for each swimmer entered $8.00 Badger State Games Registration Fee. (paid with a separate check) **All fees and signed waiver forms must accompany entries. Event and splash fee checks should be made payable to: WYNS. Deck Entries: Deck entries accepted at the discretion of the Meet Referee & only to fill open lanes. Scratching one event to deck seed in another will not be allowed. Deck entry fee is $5.00 per individual event and $20.00 per relay. Deck Entry closes 30 minutes before the start of each session. 

Heat Sheets: Posted on the WYNS website. Meet will be published on Meet Mobile. 

Awards: Medals will be awarded in all age groups for individual and relay events: Gold, Silver and Bronze. (8 & under, 9/10, 11/12, 13/14 and open) There will also be heat winner awards in all age groups. ***Friday Open Session*** will be awarded by age group ***Saturday and Sunday Open Session*** will be awarded as open 

Format: This is a pre-seeded meet. Heat/Events may be combined due to time constraints, but will be awarded separately. Award breaks will be 10-15 minutes in length. 

Conduct: *All coaches and/or parents/guardian are responsible for the conduct of their swimmers. Any violation such as improper behavior or damage to property, etc. may result in removal of the swimmer from the meet and/or disqualification of swimmer’s individual events. *Any swimmer entered in the meet, unaccompanied by a USA Swimming member coach, must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. It is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement. *Except where venue facilities require otherwise, changing into or out of swimsuits other than in locker rooms or other designated areas is not appropriate and is prohibited. *Operation of a drone, or any other flying apparatus, is prohibited over the venue (pools, athlete/coach areas, spectator areas and open ceiling locker rooms) any time athletes, coaches officials and/or spectators are present. Exceptions may be granted with prior written approval by the Program Operations Vice Chair. 

Food: There will be a concession stand in the gym. 

First Aid Kit: Please report any on deck injuries to the Lifeguard and any injuries outside the pool should be reported to the main deck. A first aid kit is available through the lifeguard. 

Lockers: Seperate age and gender locker rooms are available. Swimmers are responsible for securing their own belongings. WYNS and the Woodson YMCA are not responsible for lost articles. In accordance with the Federal Video Voyeurism Prevention Act of 2004 - the use of camera phones or video recording devices in the locker rooms are prohibited. 

Lost and Found: Located at the Member Service Desk. After the meet, check or call the Aspirus Branch for any lost and found items. (715-841-1850)
